Jeremy Gowan - Physiotherapist
BSc Physiotherapy, Csp, HCPC, Spinal manual therapy, BSc Sport & Exercise Science. Dry Needling, Acupuncture, Clinical pilates, Sports Exercise Prescription, Orthopaedics
We are delighted to have Jeremy Gowan as head of our physiotherapy team. He joined us from a senior physiotherapy position in both a private hospital and a private practice. Jeremy is a physiotherapist who gains great satisfaction from getting to the root cause of problems and his CV is testament to that.
Jeremy: I became a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008 having gained a BSc in Physiotherapy at Bournemouth University. Prior to that I had graduated with a Bsc in Sport and Exercise Science; where my research focussed upon running shoe design's influence upon injuries.
As a graduate physiotherapist I gained valuable experience rotating through various specialities within the NHS, before concentrating on my keen interest of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Within this speciality I haved enjoyed enhancing many skills including acupuncture, dry needling, clinical pilates, spinal manual therapy, both in the Uk and overseas.
Whilst overseas I expanded my experience working with colleagues from around the world, treating a hugh spectrum of patients including high level athletes and many work related injuries.
My passion for treating patients comes from the satisfaction of getting to the root cause of problems and allowing patients to maximise their quality of life. This requires tailoring my treatment to each patient's needs and insuring they are able to not only resolve problems, but also gain an understanding of how to prevent future issues.
